Word Choice - Snatched & Bloodred

Hosseini was very careful with diction here as the words chosen give the sentence a different meaning that other words wouldn't have. Rather than saying "they took it's pomegranate" he used snatched to show in what way they grabbed it, as well as adding bloodred to describe the rich color of the pomegranates.
